  1. I’ve been doing some Bible studies from the Jewish viewpoint and since Jesus is referred to in the New Testament as Rabbi he celebrated Hanukkah. As a Jew Jesus would have found Christmas to be an Odd Holiday.
I copied the below text from an Israeli website.
Festival of Chanukah. This winter festival is also known as the “Feast of Dedication”. We see evidence that Jesus celebrated this festival in the gospel of John,“And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch”(10:22-23).

    1. The birth of Jesus should be celebrated every day cos it is same yesterday, today and for ever. Dec 25 is a day set aside that everyone called Christian should come together celebrate our born king. nobody knows exact day but it was in the winter as Bible recorded.thanks.

    2. That’s true. Of course what People say and how they act are two different things. Personally I prefer Easter as it has more significance to me but I know that folks who have children do celebrate. In the past I usually worked on Christmas so for me it was just another work day. I don’t celebrate Christmas but I respect People who do. To each his or her own.

    3. Yeah that’s your opinion because there’s a birth before death which are constant therefore the two are significant. The most important thing here is to know him individual cos celebrate it or not will not give anyone passport to heaven.
